Plasterers’ Local #3, organized
in 1887, is one of the oldest building trades in the region
and its reputation for quality is second to none. Always
known as the best “smooth-plaster town” in America, over the
past several decades we have steadily built a name for the
quality of Exterior Insulation and Finish System (EIFS) work
we perform. In fact, the St. Louis plastering industry has
set a goal to certify every apprentice and journeyperson in
the proper installation of EIFS under the Association of
Wall & Ceiling Industry’s “EIFS: Doing it Right”
certification program. To date, 50 plasterers have EIFS
certification credentials. Certification will only serve to
enhance the on going training our EIFS supply community
already provides.
